Creating change using Qigong in the corporate environment
by John Millar
John Millar was first introduced to Qigong in 1997 and was immediately hooked. By 2003 he had started to teach small groups and by 2010 he had started to work with corporate clients. This journey into the corporate sector has seen him take Qigong to clients as diverse as the Saudi Military and some of the world’s top nuclear physicists at Iter in the South of France.
He now splits his time between the Three Monkeys School of Qigong which offers Zhineng Qigong retreats, online courses and teacher training in the UK, corporate work through The Green Chair, and a small local Qigong practice offering one to one and small group sessions.
‘Qigong should be simple enough to be accessible while remaining profound enough to support deep transformation.’
Creating change using Qigong in the corporate environment – abstract of this talk
The potential for Zhineng Qigong in the corporate sector is huge, but addressing the obvious wellbeing agenda is not necessarily the most productive approach. When we put the focus onto personal development, Qigong can be used in order to create the space for change both at an individual and an organisational level. The key to unlocking the potential for change is in making the ideas and practice relevant and accessible while also building trust in the methods through games and practical sessions.
This short introduction to Zhineng Qigong as a tool for corporate change will look at the simple theories and practices and how they relate to the modern workplace.
